Super Sex

It's the summer of the superhero. (But isn't it always?) The blockbusters just keep on coming - we've already had Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Wanted, Hancock, Hellboy II, and of course there's The Dark Knight to look forward to. Now I've already played the game of "if you could choose a superpower" with many of my geeky friends (this week, mine's pyro-kinesis), so the question that is most pressing at the moment is: which superhero alter-ego would you rather hook up with?

Batman has always been my guy, and I've met many a woman who has harbored a secret crush on Bruce Wayne since childhood (Is it that dark, brooding millionaire playboy thing?... I might add that no one ever seems to pick Tony Stark (although Robert Downey Jr. does make the idea more palatable...). But who would you pick? Shy and bumbling journalist Clark Kent, the sinous dominatrix that is Selina Kyle, the youthful but brilliant Peter Parker, the flame-haired Jean Grey? You can have your pick of hundreds of kick-ass heroes and heroines…I'd love to know who your 'objet du desir' might be... (An aside: io9 has a great post on superheroes who get laid all the time).

You might want to also check out the very well-endowed heroes of Patrick Fillion's imagination. I had the great pleasure of spending time with this very talented artist and his partner in Vancouver a while ago, and well, if you want sex in your comic books, Patrick is your man (his favorite superhero is Storm - though I don't know who he'd want to hook up with). Keep an eye out for SexTV's interview with him, and in the meantime, have a look at Class Comics for a world that's not unlike a gay Marvel universe (with lots of hardcore action - definitely NSFW).
